Yellow-Green and Blue Fluorescent 1,8-Naphthalimide-Based Chemosensors for Metal Cations

نویسندگان

چکیده

Two new 1,8-naphthalimides (NI), emitting yellow-green or blue fluorescence depending on the type of substituents at C-4 position, have been synthesized and characterized. Their basic photophysical characteristics investigated in organic solvents different polarities. ability to detect metal ions (Ag+, Cu2+, Zn2+ Ca2+, Mg2+, Ni2+, Fe3+) has studied DMF solution. The amino (NI1) alkoxy (NI2) functionalized exhibit optical ion sensing properties attributable nature substituents. In addition, theoretical calculations based affordable but effective density functional theory (DFT) time-dependent DFT (TDDFT) methods were performed order investigate geometric electronic structure title NI compounds.

Consider two adolescents: Person One and Person Two. Person One has never used substances and exhibits relatively few behavioral (conduct) problems. On the other hand, Person Two uses substances frequently and more commonly exhibits poor conduct. If you were to guess, which of the individuals would you expect to have lower overall judgment and self-regulation? If you answered Person Two, your i...

Synthesis and Fluorescent Property Study of Novel 1,8-Naphthalimide-Based Chemosensors.

A series of novel mono- and di-substituted N-n-butyl-1,8-naphthalimide derivatives were synthesized simultaneously via a three-step reaction. The single crystal structure of N-n-butyl-4-[N',N'-bis(2',4'-dichlorobenzoyl)ethylamino]-1,8-naphthalimide (3f) was determined. The UV-vis and fluorescence properties of compound 3f were investigated. The 3f showed highly selective and sensitive fluoresce...

Dimerization-dependent green and yellow fluorescent proteins.

Dimerization-dependent fluorescent proteins (ddFP) are a recently introduced class of genetically encoded reporters that can be used for the detection of protein interactions in live cells. The progenitor of this class of tools was a red fluorescent ddFP (ddRFP) derived from a homodimeric variant of Discosoma red fluorescent protein. Here, we describe the engineering and application of an expan...

Thiourea-based fluorescent chemosensors for aqueous metal ion detection and cellular imaging.

We describe three significant advances in the use of thioureas as reporting elements for metal-responsive fluorescent chemosensors. First, on the basis of the crystal structure of a chemosensor analogue, we provide a deeper understanding of the details of the thiourea coordination environment. Second, we describe a new generation of chemosensors with higher affinities for Zn(2+) and Cd(2+) than...

Photophysics and Dihedral Freedom of the Chromophore in Yellow, Blue, and Green Fluorescent Protein

Green fluorescent protein (GFP) and GFP-like fluorescent proteins owe their photophysical properties to an autocatalytically formed intrinsic chromophore. According to quantum mechanical calculations, the excited state of chromophore model systems has significant dihedral freedom, which may lead to fluorescence quenching intersystem crossing. Molecular dynamics simulations with freely rotating ...
